Baby showers are strange things…
For one, we aren’t actually showering the baby, or watching the baby being showered… It’s just a party…
Another reason for that, the main attraction (i.e. the baby) is usually not around…
Today’s was no fault of anyone… Poor little Stella had a jab on her left thigh this morning… some vaccine thing… So she felt terribly uncomfortable all evening… She couldn’t sleep, she wasn’t hungry, and she kept fidgeting when she was carried…
Mummie Sis & Daddie Chin spent the entire evening in their room, trying all means and ways to make her feel comfortable and sleep… I doubt they’re getting any sleep tonight…
Will see how the next baby shower goes… Hopefully, Stella will be in better humour…
I knew there was a reason why I didn’t have an inspiration for a blog the entire day… Cos I was MEANT to blog about cell…
It was a nice small group today with just 8 of us. Melmel came by for a visit… And what a rubbishy conversations we had again… Everyone was high… Won’t go into any detail, these things don’t translate well into blogs… Must be there to experience it first-hand…
But, there are a couple of things that must be said… (Otherwise, the ones who missed it will be scratching their heads in frustration.)
So as promised at Rong’s dining table, YQ will feature on this post. Because she especially complimented a particular person, whose name starts with J… So dubious eh?
Well, Wendy (new girl, Ray!) explained that she first visited a church for a guy, but stayed on for Jesus…

One more thing… We’re probably gonna start a cell blog… Where everyone gets to post whenever they want… It’ll have testimonies, prayer requests, jokes, pictures, and plenty of our trash conversations transferred to the blog for virtual time suaning! We’d also be able to link all our blogs to the cell blog… Moderator: Clems… (Who else??)

Silly girls and their silly reasons for buying things…Â
Planned to get a good lip balm for my chapped lips cos the a/c in office wasn’t doing me any good…
Went into the store, found the good brand that my colleague recommended… Was going to pay when I spotted one of an unknown brand that had purple packaging…
Brought both to the counter to find out the price… The recommended one was much cheaper than the other… But, this silly person decided to buy the expensive one, cos she figured it’d be prettier to carry around…
Totally regretting it now…
The lip balm smells really weird… Can’t stand using it… Will have to go down and get the other kind anyway…

It was a picture of baby Stella lying on mummie’s bed, all snug in her Pjs, with a msg that said:
Hello! Morning. Guess what, I’m one month old. Don’t forget to come and celebrate with me on Sat!
Ah… I don’t wanna work today! I wanna go play with Stella!!

I discovered Widgets!
I’m also on an “Open Source/Free software” addiction…
Been looking for all sorts of legal and free programs to replace the proprietary (read: overpriced) ones I’m so used to using… So far I’ve found:
I can’t use Linux so i didn’t try replacing Windows… And, I didn’t need to get Firefox to replace IE or ThunderBird to replace Outlook because I’ve been using Firefox & Thunderbird for ages and ages!
If you wanna get in on the action, XP Media has a Windows XP freeware guide and MyOpenSource.Org has a very comprehensive list of Open Source software for Windows.
With so much good & free stuff going around, I’m pretty amazed I never discovered all this sooner… This makes being a reformed-pirate so much easier!!
