Recently went and bought myself a decent tripod.
It was meant for a last minute wedding assignment, but thank goodness the photog recovered from his illness, so I could just attend the wedding and relax…
Nevertheless, i’m very proud of my new toy. The Slik U8000.
I’d meant to it buy for months but never got round to it. Had lots of excuses to explain why I didn’t need it. It’s bulky and heavy, it slows my movement and speed of capturing moments. (Which were all crap cos my lenses aren’t fast enough for most indoor events anyway. Oh well.)
Now, I’m better equiped to take slow shutter pics. Cool!

sell this and get a carbon fibre one lor..
its quite light i heard… both in weight and making your wallet so.. heh
oh I wouldn’t worry about that…
I never have to carry it around myself…The camera assistant does… ;-)
Carbon fibre isn’t very strong. At least not the light ones I’ve seen.
And since when did you have an assistant photographer?
haha i never said anything about the strength of carbon fibre. I just said it was light. whether its durable or not… well, that’s up to you to find out.
awwww…. love bantering… *pukes*
you’re so jealous, i can feel it over here…
hahaha!
and quit the fake puking while you’re at it…
jealous of a carbon fibre tripod? nah… i have better stuff…
okay… *opens up popcorn bag and watches fight*
