I once owned a pair of guinea pigs, a brother-sister pair, who were the resulting offspring of several generations of inbreeding between caged brother-sister guinea pigs.

Cookies was the female, with the crew cut styled fur coat that looked exactly like cookies & cream ice cream. Cream was the long-haired male who looked like, well, a cream coloured furball.

Cookies & Cream had their own offspring: a single white-furred, red-eyed albino we affectionately called Chalk.

Subsequently, all three of them were found dead on the same day. In two different cages.

It looked like a virus or a death pact, but we never quite figured out which…
